Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients with viral keratitis, fungal eye diseases, mycobacterial infections, chronic blepharitis, or individuals who are allergic to this medication. It is generally advisable to avoid use in patients with corneal epithelial defects or ulcers, patients with tuberculous or purulent eye diseases, glaucoma patients, and infants under 2 years of age, and if it must be used, it should be administered with extreme caution. Long-term use may raise intraocular pressure and lead to glaucoma; therefore, regular eye pressure checks should be conducted. Infectious conditions such as herpes keratitis or corneal ulcers may worsen symptoms and require concurrent treatment. Long-term use may also increase the risk of cataracts or secondary eye infections. If inflammation or pain persists or worsens for more than 48 hours, usage should be immediately discontinued and a physician consulted. When using this medication, contact lenses should be removed and can be reinserted at least 30 minutes later, and since vision may be temporarily blurred after instillation, driving or operating dangerous machinery should be avoided. Severe issues may occur with infections such as chickenpox or measles, so it is essential to check medical history and vaccination status before using this medication. If an infection is suspected or occurs, immediate medical attention should be sought. Pregnant or nursing women should avoid long-term or frequent use, and if nursing, it is safer to refrain from administration or stop breastfeeding. Children and the elderly require more caution when using this product due to different physical functions, and its safety has not been fully established. This medication should only be used in the eye, and care should be taken not to let the opening of the container touch the eye during application. Always shake well before use and do not share with others to prevent contamination. Store in a tightly sealed container to keep it out of reach of children, avoid direct sunlight, and maintain in a cool, dry place with the cap tightly closed. Transferring it to another container may alter its quality, so it should be stored in the original container.
