This medication is used to treat epithelial damage in the conjunctiva caused by intrinsic factors such as Sjögren's syndrome, Stevens-Johnson syndrome, and dry eye syndrome, as well as extrinsic epithelial damage caused by surgery, drug side effects, trauma, or the use of contact lenses.

How to apply drops

Adult eye dose

Instill 1 drop into the eye 5 to 6 times a day. Adjust dosage appropriately according to symptoms. Typically, a 0.1% preparation is used; if insufficient for severe diseases, a 0.3% preparation may be administered.

Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients who are allergic to specific ingredients or protein-based medications. When administering, symptoms such as eyelid itching, eye irritation, redness, conjunctivitis, corneal disturbances, and foreign body sensation may occasionally occur. If these symptoms appear, discontinue use immediately and seek appropriate treatment. Rarely, hypersensitivity reactions such as blepharitis or dermatitis may occur, and usage should also be discontinued in such cases. This medication may have increased side effects when used with other eye drops; therefore, it should be used at least 30 minutes after using another drop. This medication is for direct use in the eyes only, and care must be taken to avoid contact of the tip of the container with eyelids or eyelashes. If the tip of the container becomes contaminated, the solution may become cloudy or deteriorate, so do not use the solution if it is cloudy. The preservative contained in this medication may adhere to soft contact lenses, so do not use while wearing lenses, and wait at least 15 minutes after instillation before putting lenses back on. To prevent contamination, it is advisable not to share this medication with others. Store it out of reach of children, avoiding direct sunlight, and keep it in a cool place. For quality maintenance, it is important not to transfer the medication to other containers.
