Vitamin D is especially important for women who are pregnant or breastfeeding, children in their growth phase, and the elderly. It is used to support the healthy growth and development of bones and teeth during this period and to prevent bone diseases such as rickets.

How to take

Adult dose

For individuals aged 12 years and older, take 1 capsule once daily.

Precautions

This medication should not be taken by patients with hypercalcemia, patients with sarcoidosis, and individuals with kidney disease. Additionally, individuals who have had allergic reactions to this medication or its components, infants under 12 months, people with kidney stones, individuals with severe renal insufficiency, and those allergic to soybean oil, soybeans, or peanuts should refrain from using this product. While taking this medication, it is advisable not to use phosphates, calcium salts, oral tetracycline antibiotics, or antacids together. Women receiving treatment from a doctor, those who are pregnant or may become pregnant, breastfeeding mothers, premature infants, young children, individuals with heart or circulatory issues, kidney impairments, low protein levels, those taking cardiac glycosides, a history of kidney stones, or those with dyslipidemia or diabetes-related dyslipidemia and pancreatitis should consult a physician or pharmacist before taking this medication. If symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, low blood pressure, flushing, irregular heartbeat, skin rash, red spots, cardiac arrest, or central nervous system depression occur while taking this medication, it should be discontinued immediately, and medical advice should be sought. Additionally, excessive intake can cause gastrointestinal symptoms, heart failure, and edema, and prolonged use may lead to hypercalcemia or stone formation, hence caution is required. Taking this medication concurrently with aldosterone antagonists or triamterene may dangerously elevate blood potassium levels, so caution is advised, and if overdosed or if symptoms do not improve after one month of use, medical consultation should be sought immediately. It is essential to adhere to the prescribed dosage and regimen, and avoid consuming teas containing tannins, such as green or black tea, before and after taking the medication. Patients at risk of fat overload should monitor their blood lipid levels and adjust their dosages accordingly; if using other lipid injectables, the amount of lipids should be considered in adjustments. This medication should be kept out of reach of children, stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, and sealed in an airtight container to prevent misuse and maintain the quality of the medication.
