It is also used to prevent thrombus formation that can occur after coronary artery bypass surgery or percutaneous coronary intervention. It has the effect of reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease in high-risk patients with multiple cardiovascular risk factors. Therefore, this medication is very useful for the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases.

Patients who regularly consume three or more alcoholic beverages per day should consult their doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. Frequent alcohol consumption while taking this medication may increase the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding. This medication should not be used in certain patients. For instance, individuals with allergies to this drug or other salicylate-containing medications, patients with peptic ulcers, those with aspirin-induced asthma, hemophiliacs, patients with severe liver or kidney dysfunction, those with severe heart failure, individuals with a tendency to bleed, and pregnant women in their third trimester should not take this medication. Also, patients with kidney impairment, cardiovascular circulation dysfunction, liver disease, heart dysfunction, blood disorders, bronchial asthma, preoperative patients, children younger than three years old, those with a history of drug hypersensitivity or allergies, the elderly, patients taking anticoagulants, and individuals with glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency should take this medication cautiously. It can cause serious side effects such as hemolytic anemia, so special attention is required. While taking this medication, hypersensitivity reactions or allergy symptoms such as rash, urticaria, and difficulty breathing may occur, and if any of these symptoms arise, the use should be immediately discontinued and medical advice sought. Rarely, severe skin disorders or blood abnormalities, as well as liver or kidney dysfunction, may occur, so symptoms must be monitored closely during use. Symptoms of the digestive tract may include loss of appetite, heartburn, stomach pain, nausea, and vomiting, and long-term use may pose a risk of gastrointestinal bleeding or ulcers. Symptoms related to the nervous system may include tinnitus, dizziness, and headaches, and if such symptoms occur, the dose should be reduced or the medication discontinued. This medication should be used with caution in children, especially those under 14 years old or those with chickenpox or influenza, and their condition should be closely monitored after administration. In the elderly and children, the minimum effective dose should be used cautiously, with special attention to adverse reactions. Taking this medication with alcohol increases the risk of gastrointestinal mucosal damage and bleeding. Extra caution is necessary during pregnancy, especially in the third trimester when it should not be used at all. This medication can have serious effects on the fetus, and breastfeeding women should also avoid it.
