Precautions

This medication contains lactose and should not be used in patients with genetic disorders such as galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption. This drug may cause liver dysfunction, and liver enzyme levels may increase. Symptoms such as constipation, rash, itching, and diarrhea may occur, so if symptoms worsen, consult a healthcare professional immediately. Dizziness, drowsiness, abdominal bloating, appetite loss, and dry mouth have also been reported rarely, so caution is needed if these symptoms occur. In elderly patients, physical function may be reduced, so starting with a lower dose and observing their condition closely is necessary. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should use this medication only when the benefits outweigh the risks, and safety during pregnancy has not been fully established. Additionally, nursing mothers should avoid using this medication if possible, or stop breastfeeding while taking it, as it may be transferred into breast milk. The safety of this medication in pediatric patients has not been sufficiently validated, so it should be used cautiously in children.
