Precautions

This medicine should not be used in certain patients. Individuals with allergies to this medication or its components, those with symptoms of orthostatic hypotension, individuals with severely impaired liver function, and pregnant women or women who may become pregnant should avoid taking this medicine. Additionally, patients with severely impaired kidney function, the elderly, and those taking certain medications should use this medicine cautiously. Special care should be taken when used concurrently with medications that lower blood pressure, PDE5 inhibitors, CYP3A4 inhibitors, and alpha-1 blockers. During treatment with this medicine, symptoms such as dizziness or fainting due to low blood pressure may occur, so symptoms should be closely monitored. If such symptoms appear, discontinue use immediately and consult a healthcare professional. Various side effects such as nausea, vomiting, headache, drowsiness, skin rash, and liver function abnormalities have been reported, so any unusual symptoms should be reported. This medication may cause excessively low blood pressure in case of overdose, so the prescribed dosage must be adhered to. Patients should move slowly when changing positions during treatment to avoid dizziness. This medication is for symptom relief, not for the underlying cause, so other treatment options should be considered if the medication is ineffective. Caution is advised when driving or operating hazardous machinery due to the risk of dizziness. This medication should not be chewed or taken with an opened capsule; it must be taken exactly as prescribed. It is safest for pregnant women or children under 18 to avoid taking this medicine. When storing, keep it out of reach of children and do not transfer it to another container. Lastly, since the symptoms of prostate cancer and benign prostatic hyperplasia are similar, it is necessary to confirm the absence of prostate cancer before starting this medication.
