This medication is used for gastrointestinal symptoms such as excessive stomach acid, heartburn, and belching.
For individuals aged 16 and above, take 1 tablet (75mg) once, up to a maximum of 2 tablets (150mg) per day.
This medicine should not be taken by individuals who have had allergic reactions to any of its components. If you have difficulty swallowing food or experience pain when swallowing, or have hematemesis or melena, you must consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. If heartburn persists for more than three months or occurs with symptoms like dizziness, cold sweats, or lightheadedness, you should consult a healthcare professional before taking it. Caution is also needed if you experience pain in the chest or shoulders and have difficulty breathing, or if you frequently experience chest pain. If symptoms such as sudden weight loss, nausea, vomiting, or abdominal pain occur, you should consult a healthcare professional immediately. Persons taking non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, those with a history of drug allergies, those with kidney or liver function problems, elderly patients, and those with a history of acute porphyria should consult a healthcare professional before usage. Pregnant women or women who may become pregnant should consult a doctor before using this medicine, as it can cross the placenta, and nursing women should also be cautious as this medication can be transmitted through breast milk. This drug may interact with other medications, so you must consult a healthcare provider if you are taking any other medications. If symptoms persist or worsen after taking, discontinue use immediately and consult a doctor or pharmacist, and be careful not to take it for more than 14 days. Severe side effects such as allergic reactions, blood disorders, liver dysfunction, heart issues, gastrointestinal disorders, neurological issues, endocrine disorders, musculoskeletal problems, and skin rashes may occur, so if any of these symptoms arise, discontinue use immediately and inform a healthcare professional. This medicine can mask symptoms of stomach cancer, so it is advisable to use it temporarily only for symptom relief. When taking high doses of sucralfate, absorption may be reduced, so a gap of about 2 hours between doses is necessary. In case of overdose, emergency treatment such as vomiting or gastric wash may be required, and in some instances, hemodialysis may be needed. Do not take with alcoholic beverages, and if any changes in physical condition occur after use, consult a healthcare professional immediately. Elderly patients or those with chronic lung disease, diabetes, or weakened immune systems may have an increased risk of pneumonia and should be cautious. This drug may yield false positive results in urine protein tests using the dipstick method. This medication should be kept out of reach of children and stored tightly in its original container to prevent misuse or degradation in quality.
