This medication is used to relieve pain caused by rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, osteoarthritis (degenerative arthritis), periarticular inflammation, dental pain, post-traumatic inflammation, low back pain, sciatica, and non-articular rheumatism.

How to take

Adult dose

As aceclofenac, take 100 mg twice a day, every 12 hours. This medication should be taken whole, without chewing or crushing. Adjust according to symptoms. To minimize cardiovascular adverse reactions, the lowest effective dose should be used for the shortest duration possible.

Precautions

People who regularly consume more than three alcoholic drinks a day must consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. Taking this drug with alcohol may increase the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding. This drug may increase the risk of cardiovascular disease, so patients with risk factors such as heart disease, hypertension, diabetes, and smoking should carefully consider whether to take it. Furthermore, serious cardiovascular issues like myocardial infarction or stroke may occur depending on the dosage and duration, so it is important to take it for the shortest duration possible at the minimum dosage. This medication can cause serious gastrointestinal adverse reactions such as gastrointestinal bleeding, ulcers, and perforation. Particularly, elderly patients or those with a history of gastrointestinal diseases should be more cautious, and if symptoms of gastrointestinal bleeding appear during use, they should immediately consult medical personnel. Patients with active peptic ulcer or a history of bleeding, those allergic to this medication or similar components, asthmatic patients, patients with heart failure, severe renal or hepatic impairment, pregnant women in late pregnancy, and breastfeeding mothers should not take this medication. Patients with renal impairment, heart failure, hypertension, liver impairment, and the elderly should be particularly careful when taking this medication and should follow medical advice. Central nervous system symptoms such as dizziness and drowsiness may occur while taking this medication, so it is advisable to avoid driving or operating dangerous machinery. If allergic reactions such as skin rash, itching, or difficulty breathing occur during use, immediate discontinuation of the medication and consultation with medical personnel is required. This medication may interact with other drugs, so those who are taking anticoagulants, antihypertensives, diuretics, or antidiabetic medications should definitely consult their doctor. This medication should not be taken during the last 3 months of pregnancy, and women planning to become pregnant should consult their doctor before taking it.
