It is important not to take this medication in conjunction with tetracycline antibiotics, as it may interfere with the absorption of the antibiotic. Individuals taking other medications should consult a healthcare professional prior to use, as this medication may affect the absorption or excretion of other drugs. In particular, it is advisable to space the intake of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, ulcer medications, digitalis preparations, chlorpromazine, lansoprazole, prednisolone, penicillin, quinolones, and iron supplements by 2 to 3 hours. Those taking salicylates should be cautious, as this medication may increase the excretion of salicylates through the kidneys. If gastrointestinal issues such as constipation or diarrhea occur during use, or if symptoms do not improve after more than 2 weeks of use, immediately stop taking it and consult a healthcare professional.
