How to take

Adult dose

As almagate, take 1 g orally three times a day, chewing it 30 minutes to 1 hour after meals. An additional dose may be taken at bedtime if needed.

Child dose

Children aged 12 years and older should take the same dosage as adults.

Precautions

This medication should not be taken by individuals allergic to this drug or its components. People with Alzheimer's disease, hemorrhoids, swelling due to fluid retention, those with pregnancy-induced hypertension, severe diarrhea, or unexplained gastrointestinal bleeding should not take this medication. When taking this medication, it should not be taken with tetracycline antibiotics as the two drugs may interfere with each other's absorption. Additionally, individuals who are weak, have low phosphorus intake, or have absorption issues should be cautious, as the aluminum component may interfere with phosphorus absorption and affect bone health. Elderly patients, those with symptoms of gastrointestinal bleeding, pregnant or potentially pregnant women, and nursing mothers should always consult a specialist before taking this medication. If constipation or diarrhea occurs during use or if symptoms do not improve within two weeks, discontinue use immediately and consult a physician. This medication must be taken according to the specified dosage and frequency, and when given to children, a guardian should supervise. Store this medication in a tightly closed container to prevent air or moisture from entering. It is best to keep it in its original container, out of reach of children, and away from direct sunlight and in a cool, dry place.
