This medication treats gastric ulcers and duodenal ulcers and improves gastric mucosal damage caused by acute and chronic gastritis. It is also used in conjunction with antibiotics to help treat infections in patients with peptic ulcers due to Helicobacter pylori infection. Additionally, it is used prior to anesthesia to control gastric acid secretion and prevent reflux of gastric contents during surgery. Furthermore, it alleviates the symptoms of reflux esophagitis, aiding in the recovery of the esophageal mucosa. This drug acts effectively across gastrointestinal diseases to restore health and improve symptoms.
