This medication should not be used in patients with the following conditions: First, individuals who have experienced allergic reactions to this medication or its components should not take it. Additionally, individuals with gastrointestinal bleeding, obstruction, or perforation should avoid this medication, as it may stimulate gastrointestinal motility and pose risks. Since it contains lactose, those with lactose intolerance or specific genetic metabolic disorders should also refrain from taking it. While taking this medication, observe for severe allergic reactions, such as shock or anaphylaxis. If blood pressure drops, breathing becomes difficult, or hives appear, discontinue use immediately and seek medical attention. There may be issues with liver function, so if symptoms of elevated liver enzymes occur, discontinue use and seek appropriate treatment. Gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, diarrhea, constipation, and abdominal pain may occur, and headaches, anxiety, sleep disturbances, and dizziness may sometimes be experienced. Gynecomastia symptoms or abnormalities such as decreased platelets or white blood cells in blood tests may require regular monitoring. Renal function may also be slightly affected, so caution is advised. This medication enhances the action of a neurotransmitter called acetylcholine; hence, consider this when using it, and if gastrointestinal symptoms do not improve, long-term use is not recommended. When taken with anticholinergics, the effect of this medication may be weakened, so it should be used carefully with intervals between doses. Pregnant women or those who may become pregnant should consult a physician prior to use, as the safety of this medication has not been established. During breastfeeding, as this medication may be excreted in breast milk, it is advisable to avoid use or discontinue breastfeeding if possible. The safety in pediatric patients has not been sufficiently confirmed, so use in children should be approached with caution. Elderly patients may have decreased body function, making them more susceptible to adverse reactions; thus, their condition should be closely monitored, and dose adjustments or discontinuation may be required if necessary. Finally, this medication should be stored out of reach of children, and transferring it to other containers may alter its quality, so it must be stored in its original packaging.
