This medication is used to treat dermatophyte infections such as athlete's foot, tinea corporis, and tinea cruris caused by fungi like Trichophyton, Microsporum, and Epidermophyton. It is also effective against tinea versicolor caused by Pityrosporum orbiculare and skin candidiasis. Therefore, this drug is used to improve various skin fungal infections.

Dosage and Administration

Adult dosage

Apply to the affected area once or twice a day. For athlete's foot, apply twice daily for 1 week for the interdigital type, and twice daily for 2 weeks for the plantar type. For tinea corporis, tinea cruris, and skin candidiasis, apply for 1 to 2 weeks. For tinea versicolor, apply for 2 weeks.

Precautions

This medication should not be used by individuals who have had an allergic reaction or hypersensitivity to this drug or its components. Pregnant women, women who may become pregnant, and nursing mothers should also not use this medication. Additionally, it is safer not to use this drug for children. If a rash or any symptoms of hypersensitivity occur while using this medication, discontinue use immediately and consult a doctor or pharmacist. In cases of severe skin irritation or worsening symptoms, it is also advisable to consult a professional right away. If symptoms such as hives, redness, itching, dermatitis, discoloration, pain, or burning sensation appear on the skin, usage should be stopped immediately and consultation should be sought. When using this drug, it is advisable not to use occlusive dressings or packaging unless directed by a doctor. If this medication is ineffective, it is necessary to undergo a test to confirm the presence of a fungal infection and alternative treatments should be considered. In the case of candidiasis, acidic soap should not be used, and attention should be paid when applying this drug to damaged areas of skin or large areas, especially in infants, as systemic side effects may occur. If this medication is accidentally ingested, activated charcoal should first be administered to remove the active ingredient, and appropriate treatment should be provided if necessary. This medication is a topical agent intended solely for external use on the skin and should not be applied to the eyes or mucous membranes. If it does come into contact with the eyes, they should be rinsed thoroughly with a large amount of water immediately, as there is a risk of eye irritation or infection exacerbation. Do not apply to nails, scalp, around the mouth, or the vaginal area. Animal studies have shown that this medication has mild phototoxicity, so caution regarding sun exposure is advisable. Store this medication in a safe place out of reach of children, and do not transfer it from its original container to another, as this may increase the risk of misuse and degrade quality; always keep it in its original container and secure it tightly.
