Supplying hydration, electrolytes, and amino acids through intravenous nutrition therapy
This medication provides essential hydration, electrolytes, amino acids, calories, essential fatty acids, and omega-3 fatty acids to patients who are unable to obtain adequate nutrition orally or via the gastrointestinal tract. It helps patients to receive sufficient nutrition, which plays a crucial role in improving their nutritional status and facilitating recovery. Therefore, it is used safely and effectively for patients requiring intravenous nutrient supply.
The dosage and infusion rate are determined based on the patient's ability to clear fats, nitrogen and carbohydrate metabolic capacity, and nutritional requirements, and the dosage and bag size are determined according to the patient’s condition and weight. - Patients with normal nutritional status or mild metabolic stress: 0.10-0.15 g/kg of nitrogen daily (0.6-0.9 g/kg of amino acids) - Patients under moderate to severe metabolic stress:
Use in children is not recommended.
This medication must be used strictly according to a physician's instructions, and if allergic reactions such as fever, chills, rashes, or breathing difficulties occur, administration should be immediately discontinued. When used in conjunction with calcium-containing preparations intravenously, ceftriaxone can precipitate calcium, so the same infusion device should not be used simultaneously. Caution is needed in administering this medication to premature or low-birth-weight infants as levels of free fatty acids in plasma can increase. Patients with allergies to fish, eggs, soybeans, peanuts, or those with severe hyperlipidemia, liver dysfunction, or bleeding disorders should not use this medication. Patients with renal failure, diabetes, liver dysfunction, or issues with lipid metabolism should use it with caution. During administration, blood triglyceride levels should be periodically checked to prevent the occurrence of fat overload syndrome. Excessive administration of amino acids or glucose can cause side effects such as nausea, vomiting, and hyperglycemia, so recommended doses and rates should be adhered to. This product contains soybean oil, fish oil, and egg yolk phospholipids, which may cause allergic reactions, though infrequently, so patients with a history of allergies should be cautious. The safety for pregnant or breastfeeding women has not been established; it should only be used if the therapeutic benefit outweighs the risk. Before and after administration, blood tests and monitoring of electrolytes and fluid status should be carefully observed, and strict aseptic technique should be implemented to prevent infection. In case of excessive dosing, the infusion rate should be slowed or stopped, and if necessary, appropriate emergency measures such as insulin administration or dialysis should be taken. This medication should be stored at a temperature between 1°C and 25°C to avoid exposure to air and humidity.
Thrombophlebitis, symptoms of anaphylactic reactions (fever, chills, rashes, breathing difficulty), chest discomfort, cases of death due to fat accumulation in the pulmonary vasculature, fat overload syndrome (hyperlipidemia, fever, fat infiltration, jaundice, hepatomegaly, splenomegaly, anemia, leukopenia, thrombocytopenia, coagulopathies, hemolysis, reticulocytosis, liver dysfunction, coma), thrombophlebitis, chest tightness
Not everyone experiences these, and they can vary from person to person.
This medication should be stored in a sealed container to prevent air and humidity from entering, ideally at room temperature between 1°C and 25°C. Proper storage will maintain the efficacy of the medication and prevent degradation.
This product consists of an inner and outer packaging divided into three compartments, with an oxygen absorber pouch in between. Each compartment contains a glucose solution, amino acids, and electrolyte solution, and
