This medication is used for the treatment of essential hypertension that is not adequately controlled with mono-therapy of amlodipine or valsartan.

How to take

Adult dose

The recommended dose of this medication is 1 tablet once daily, taken with water regardless of meals. It is recommended to take it at the same time each day (e.g., in the morning) if possible.

Child dose

Safety and efficacy for pediatric patients under 18 years have not been established, therefore, administration of this medication is not recommended.

Precautions

This medication can cause serious harm to the fetus and newborn if taken during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy, so it should be discontinued immediately upon confirmation of pregnancy. Patients who are allergic to any component of this medication, pregnant or nursing women, patients with severe kidney or liver disease, and specific heart disease patients should not take this medication. Patients who are depleted of sodium or fluids, those with hyperkalemia, renal artery stenosis, or those who have recently received a kidney transplant should use this medication with caution and should have their blood pressure and kidney function monitored frequently. During treatment with this medication, side effects such as dizziness, headache, swelling, low blood pressure, skin rash, and dyspepsia may occur; contact a doctor if any unusual symptoms arise. Caution is needed while driving or operating machinery as dizziness and fatigue may occur. When taking other antihypertensive medications, potassium supplements, diuretics, or certain anti-inflammatory drugs, there may be interactions, so it is essential to inform your doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. Women who are pregnant or planning to become pregnant should avoid using this medication, and nursing mothers should also avoid taking this medication if possible. Safety and efficacy have not been established for children under 18 years, so use is not recommended. Taking an overdose can cause severe hypotension or heart problems, necessitating immediate emergency treatment. Regular monitoring of blood pressure, kidney function, and electrolyte levels is necessary while taking this medication to closely observe health status.
