This medication is used for stable angina caused by hypertension and fixed occlusion of coronary arteries, as well as variant angina due to decreased blood supply to the myocardium caused by vasospasm. Additionally, it helps reduce the risk of hospitalization for angina and the risk associated with coronary artery revascularization in patients recently diagnosed with coronary artery disease who do not have heart failure and have a cardiac output greater than 40%. Overall, it is used to improve symptoms related to cardiovascular diseases and enhance the quality of life of patients.
