This medication can cause serious harm to the fetus if taken during pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimesters, so it should be discontinued immediately upon confirmation of pregnancy. Do not use this medication in individuals with hypersensitivity to it, pregnant women or women of childbearing potential, patients with severe liver impairment, certain hereditary angioedema patients, or those with primary hyperaldosteronism. Additionally, patients with genetic conditions such as lactose intolerance should not take this medication. Elderly patients, those with hyperkalemia, liver impairment, valvular heart disease, obstructive cardiomyopathy, or patients at risk of rapid blood pressure drops should use this medication cautiously. This medication is used relatively safely in hypertensive patients, but various side effects such as dizziness, muscle cramps, back pain, and respiratory infections may occur, so any abnormal symptoms should be discussed with a doctor. Serious side effects such as angioedema, liver function abnormalities, myalgia, hyperkalemia, hypotension, and renal failure have been rarely reported and require caution. Patients with impaired liver function may have elevated blood levels of this medication, so dosage adjustments are necessary; similarly, patients with poor kidney function should use it cautiously. This medication can increase potassium levels, so it is advisable not to take it with potassium supplements or potassium-sparing diuretics. Also, be cautious that when used in conjunction with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), the blood pressure-lowering effect may decrease, and renal function may worsen. Patients taking this medication should have their blood pressure, kidney function, and electrolyte levels checked regularly, and if symptoms worsen, they should consult a doctor immediately. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should avoid taking this medication and should decide in consultation with a specialist if necessary.
