Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients who have a history of allergic reactions to its components. Caution should be exercised in individuals with a history of allergies to other medications, those with liver function issues, or a history of liver disease. Furthermore, care should be taken if there are skin diseases or infections at the injection site (joint) when using this medication. Severe allergic reactions such as shock may occur, so if symptoms arise, use should be immediately discontinued, and medical treatment sought. Symptoms such as swelling or redness around the face or eyes, and itching may occur; if these symptoms manifest, discontinue use and seek appropriate treatment. Transient pain or swelling at the injection site may occur, and in rare cases, fluid accumulation or warmth, severe pressure may also occur. Occasionally, symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, or fever may require caution. In joints with severe inflammation, it is recommended to reduce the inflammation before using this medication. After administration, the injection site should be stabilized, and care should be taken to prevent the medication from leaking outside the joint. This medication must be administered intra-articularly under sterile conditions, and should only be continued up to 3 times if symptoms do not improve. If there is fluid accumulation in the joint, the joint fluid may be drained as needed before administering the medication. Intravenous administration is prohibited, and it is not suitable for use in the eyes. When injecting, it is advisable to use a needle of approximately 22-23 gauge, and caution is needed as certain disinfectants may cause the medication to precipitate. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should carefully consider the benefits and risks before use, and those who are breastfeeding should avoid breastfeeding during medication administration. The safety of this medication in children has not been sufficiently established, so it should only be used cautiously when necessary. Elderly patients may have reduced physical function, so special attention is required during drug use.
