Used to assist in blood pressure control in patients with essential hypertension for whom blood pressure is not adequately controlled with monotherapy of amlodipine or valsartan.

Dosage and Administration

Adult dosage

The recommended dose of this medication is 1 tablet once daily, taken with water regardless of meals. It is recommended to take it at the same time each day (e.g., in the morning) if possible.

Children's dosage

The safety and efficacy of this medication in pediatric patients under 18 years of age have not been established, and its use is not recommended.

Precautions

This medication may cause serious harm to the fetus and newborn when taken during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy, so it should be discontinued immediately upon confirmation of pregnancy. This medication should not be taken by individuals with known allergies to its components or similar medications, pregnant or breastfeeding women, patients with severe renal or hepatic disease, or certain cardiac conditions. Patients with low sodium or fluid levels should improve their condition prior to taking this medication, and if symptoms of hypotension occur while taking it, they should immediately lie down and rest, and seek medical treatment if necessary. Patients with high potassium levels or taking potassium supplements should frequently check their potassium levels to avoid abnormalities. Patients with renal vascular issues or kidney transplant recipients should be closely monitored as renal function may worsen when taking this medication. If symptoms of angioedema occur, this medication should be discontinued immediately, and re-administration is prohibited. Patients with heart failure or myocardial infarction should carefully monitor their renal function when taking this medication, and consult their doctor if symptoms worsen. This medication may cause dizziness or fatigue when driving or operating machinery, so caution is advised. It may interact with other medications, so especially when taking blood pressure medications, potassium supplements, diuretics, NSAIDs, certain antibiotics, etc., consultation with a doctor or pharmacist is necessary. This medication is not recommended for individuals under 18 years of age as safety and efficacy have not been sufficiently established. In case of overdose, severe hypotension or cardiac arrhythmias may occur, requiring immediate treatment at a hospital. During the intake of this medication, it is important to regularly check blood pressure, renal function, and electrolyte levels to ensure there are no abnormalities.
