Precautions

This medication can cause serious harm to the fetus and newborn if taken during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy, so it should be discontinued immediately upon confirmation of pregnancy. Individuals allergic to this drug or similar medications, pregnant or breastfeeding women, and those with severe kidney or liver dysfunction should not take this medication. Patients with low blood pressure or low sodium and fluid status should check their conditions before taking this medication and should take it cautiously; if symptoms of low blood pressure appear, they should lie down and rest immediately and seek medical treatment if necessary. Patients with elevated potassium levels or those taking potassium supplements, potassium-sparing diuretics, etc., should monitor their potassium levels frequently for any abnormalities. Patients with renovascular issues or kidney transplant recipients should take care as kidney function may worsen with this medication. If symptoms of angioedema (swelling of the face, lips, tongue, etc.) appear, the medication should be stopped immediately and should not be re-administered. In patients with heart failure or post-myocardial infarction, regular monitoring of kidney function and blood pressure is necessary during the use of this medication, as symptoms of pulmonary edema may appear. This drug may interact with other antihypertensives or certain medications, so it is crucial to inform the doctor or pharmacist of any other medications being taken. Caution should be exercised when driving or operating machinery as dizziness or fatigue may occur. Overdose may lead to severe hypotension or heart problems, so the dosage should be strictly followed and healthcare facilities should be contacted immediately if abnormal symptoms arise. This medication is not recommended for patients under 18 years of age as safety and efficacy have not been sufficiently established.
