Efficacy & effects

Improves blood pressure control in essential hypertension through the combination of amlodipine and valsartan

  • Essential hypertension
View approved original text

This medication effectively lowers blood pressure in patients with essential hypertension whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with monotherapy with either amlodipine or valsartan. This is because the two drugs act through different mechanisms, enhancing the blood pressure-lowering effect. Therefore, this drug is used to improve blood pressure control in hypertensive patients who do not respond adequately to monotherapy.
