This medication is used to treat epithelial disorders of the conjunctiva caused by both endogenous diseases such as Sjögren's syndrome and Stevens-Johnson syndrome, as well as exogenous conditions arising from surgery, drug-induced trauma, and contact lens wear.

How to apply drops

Adult eye dose

Instill 1 drop 5 to 6 times a day. Adjust dosage as needed based on symptoms. Typically, a 0.1% formulation is administered, and if it is insufficient for severe diseases, a 0.3% formulation may be used.

Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients with allergic reactions to protein-based drugs or its components. Symptoms such as itching in the eyes, irritation, redness, conjunctivitis, corneal disorders, and foreign body sensation may occur, and rarely, discharge or eye pain may arise. If such symptoms appear, stop using immediately and seek appropriate treatment. Inflammation or dermatitis can develop on the eyelid or surrounding skin, so if these symptoms occur, stop using the medication and consult a doctor. Caution is advised as the likelihood of side effects may increase when used with steroids, dry eye treatments, antibiotics, glaucoma medications, antihistamines, cataract treatments, and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Do not use simultaneously with other eye drops. If it is necessary to use more than one, use another eye drop first, then this medication after 30 minutes. This medication is for ocular use only. Take care not to let the tip of the container touch the eyelid or eyelashes. If the container is contaminated, the medication may degrade, so do not use contaminated medicine. The preservative benzalkonium chloride included in this medication can adhere to soft contact lenses, so do not use it while wearing lenses and wait at least 15 minutes after using it before putting in lenses. It is advisable to avoid sharing the medication to prevent contamination. Store out of reach of children, and keep in a cool place away from direct sunlight. Also, to maintain quality, do not transfer the medication to another container.
