As a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug, naproxen may have a risk of causing gastric or duodenal ulcers, so caution is necessary. However, it is used for the treatment of symptoms of osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis in patients who do not achieve sufficient effect with low-dose naproxen or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. This medicine helps to reduce inflammation and pain, thereby improving the quality of life of patients. Therefore, it is used to effectively alleviate symptoms of arthritis under appropriate dosage and management when necessary.

Precautions
This medicine should be discussed with a doctor or pharmacist if taken by someone who regularly consumes more than three alcoholic drinks a day, as gastrointestinal bleeding may occur. This medicine may affect the cardiovascular system and can increase the risk of serious cardiovascular diseases such as myocardial infarction or stroke, so patients with cardiovascular diseases or risk factors should exercise particular caution. Severe gastrointestinal adverse reactions such as gastrointestinal bleeding, ulcers, or perforation may appear, so elderly patients or those with a history of gastrointestinal disease should take it carefully, and if symptoms of gastrointestinal bleeding occur during use, prompt medical treatment should be sought. Patients with allergies to any of the ingredients in this medicine or a history of hypersensitivity reactions such as asthma, rhinitis, or urticaria should not take this medicine. Patients with active peptic ulcers or severe liver, kidney, or heart disease should also avoid taking this medicine. Patients with a history of peptic ulcers or a tendency to bleed, or with liver or kidney dysfunction should be especially cautious when taking this medicine and may require regular examinations. If any unusual symptoms such as skin rash, itching, difficulty breathing, severe headache, abdominal pain, hematuria, or vomiting occur during use, immediate consultation with a doctor is essential. Pregnant women in late pregnancy should avoid this medicine as it may harm the fetus, and it should only be used in the minimum dosage for a short period after mid-pregnancy. Breastfeeding mothers should avoid this medicine as its ingredients can be transmitted through breast milk and affect the newborn. Safety and efficacy have not been established for children under 18, so it is not recommended for them. Elderly patients are at increased risk for gastrointestinal bleeding, so it should be taken carefully at the minimum effective dose. As this medicine may prolong bleeding time, it is important to inform medical staff if undergoing tests related to bleeding. Overdose may present symptoms such as dizziness, abdominal pain, vomiting, renal dysfunction, and difficulty breathing, requiring immediate emergency treatment. This medicine should be swallowed whole with water without chewing or crushing, and it is recommended to take it at least 30 minutes before meals to aid absorption. There are many potential drug interactions during use, so any other medications being taken should be disclosed to a doctor or pharmacist.
