Precautions

Patients who regularly consume more than three alcoholic beverages a day should consult with a physician or pharmacist before taking this medication. Taking it with alcohol may increase the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding. This medication should not be used in certain patients. For instance, individuals allergic to this drug or similar ingredients, patients with peptic ulcers, those with aspirin-induced asthma, hemophiliacs, patients with severe liver or kidney dysfunction, individuals with severe heart failure, people with a tendency to bleed, and women in the third trimester of pregnancy should avoid taking this medication. Additionally, patients with kidney or liver dysfunction, those with cardiovascular diseases, asthmatics, individuals scheduled for surgery, children under 3 years old, the elderly, and patients on anticoagulants should use this medication with caution. In particular, patients with glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency should be careful when taking this medication due to the risk of hemolytic anemia. This medication can rarely cause serious allergic reactions, skin diseases, blood abnormalities, gastrointestinal bleeding, liver dysfunction, and kidney failure. If any unusual symptoms appear during use, immediately stop taking the medication and consult a physician. For pediatric patients, this medication should be used cautiously during varicella or influenza infections, as there is an increased risk of Reye's syndrome in children aged 14 and under. This medication is a symptomatic treatment and is not a cure for the underlying cause, so regular check-ups are necessary during long-term use and other treatment methods should also be considered. After administration, the patient's condition should be closely monitored for any adverse reactions, excessive body temperature drop, or symptoms of collapse. Due to numerous drug interactions, particularly with anticoagulants, hypoglycemic agents, methotrexate, lithium preparations, and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, consultation with a physician is necessary when taking these medications together. This medication should not be taken, particularly during the third trimester of pregnancy, and breastfeeding women should avoid it as well. Elderly patients may experience side effects more easily, so dosing should start at lower amounts and be administered carefully. As it is enteric-coated, care should be taken not to damage the enteric coating, and it is recommended not to take it with alkaline agents. This medication should be stored out of reach of children and kept in its original container to prevent degradation of quality or misuse.
