Precautions

This medication can cause serious harm to the fetus if taken during the 2nd and 3rd trimesters of pregnancy, so it must be stopped immediately upon confirmation of pregnancy. It is contraindicated in patients with allergies to this drug's active ingredients or similar compounds, women who are pregnant or breastfeeding, patients with severe kidney or liver disease, and those with certain heart conditions. Patients with sodium or fluid depletion are at risk of low blood pressure, so their condition should be checked carefully before taking the medication, and blood pressure should be monitored closely during treatment. Patients with high potassium levels or those taking medications that can raise potassium levels should have their potassium levels frequently tested. Patients with renal vascular issues or those who have recently received a kidney transplant need to be cautious due to a risk of worsening renal function. If symptoms of angioedema occur, treatment should be stopped immediately and should not be restarted. Patients with heart failure or who have had a myocardial infarction should take this medication with caution while monitoring for changes in kidney function. This drug may cause a sudden drop in blood pressure, so patients taking diuretics or those with sodium deficiency should increase dosage slowly at first and observe their condition. Dizziness, drowsiness, and other symptoms may occur, so caution is needed when driving or operating machinery. When taking this drug with other antihypertensive medications, potassium supplements, or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), the risk of side effects due to interactions may arise; consultation with a doctor or pharmacist is advised. Women who are pregnant or planning to become pregnant should not take this medication, and it is not recommended for breastfeeding women. Safety and efficacy in pediatric patients under 18 years of age have not been sufficiently established, hence the use of this medication is not recommended. In case of overdose, severe hypotension or heart problems may occur, and medical attention should be sought immediately if any abnormal symptoms appear. Adverse reactions during treatment may include headache, dizziness, edema, skin rash, dyspepsia, and others; if symptoms are severe or persistent, consulting a doctor is advised.
