Efficacy & effects

Improvement in the control of essential hypertension

  • Essential hypertension
View approved original text

Essential hypertension can sometimes be difficult to manage with either amlodipine or valsartan alone. In such cases, using both medications together can manage blood pressure more effectively. Amlodipine works by dilating blood vessels to lower blood pressure, while valsartan prevents blood vessel constriction. The combination of these two drugs can stabilize blood pressure and reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases. Therefore, the combination therapy of amlodipine and valsartan is effectively used for the treatment of essential hypertension.
