Adult dose
The recommended dosage of this medication is 1 tablet once daily, taken with water regardless of meals. It is recommended to take it at the same time every day (e.g., in the morning). Before administration, it is recommended to adjust the dosage using individual components (amlodipine or valsartan). 5/80 mg: Administered to patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with amlodipine 5mg or valsartan 80mg monotherapy. 5/160 mg: Administered to patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with amlodipine 5mg or valsartan 160mg monotherapy. 10/160 mg: Administered to patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with amlodipine 10mg or valsartan 160mg monotherapy or 5/160 mg. For patients taking valsartan and amlodipine in combination, this medication (with equal amounts of individual active ingredients) may be considered for convenience. Patients with renal impairment: No dosage adjustment is necessary for patients with mild to moderate renal impairment (creatinine clearance of 10mL/min or more), but this medication should not be administered to patients with severe renal impairment (creatinine clearance less than 10mL/min) or those on dialysis. For patients with moderate renal impairment, monitoring of potassium levels and creatinine is recommended. Patients with liver impairment: For patients with mild and moderate liver impairment, the daily dose of valsartan should not exceed 80mg. This medication should not be administered to patients with severe liver impairment, cholestatic liver cirrhosis, or biliary obstruction.
Child dose
The safety and efficacy in pediatric patients under 18 years of age have not been established, so administration is not recommended.

This medication is used to effectively lower and control blood pressure in patients with essential hypertension who do not achieve sufficient blood pressure control with monotherapy with amlodipine or valsartan.

How to take

Adult dose

Precautions

This medication can cause serious harm to the fetus if taken during pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimesters, so it should be stopped immediately if pregnancy is confirmed. Patients with allergies to this medication's active ingredients or similar components, women who are pregnant or breastfeeding, and patients with severe kidney or liver diseases should not take this medication. Patients with low sodium or fluid levels should correct their condition before taking this medication, and if symptoms of low blood pressure occur, they should lie down and receive fluid therapy if necessary. Patients with high potassium levels should take this medication with caution when taken together with other drugs that can increase potassium levels, and regular monitoring of blood potassium levels is required. Patients with renal artery stenosis should be closely monitored for renal function deterioration when taking this medication. Patients with heart failure or after myocardial infarction should carefully monitor renal function changes when taking this medication, and combination triple therapy with this medication and certain drugs is not recommended for heart failure patients. This medication may rarely cause side effects such as dizziness, headache, swelling, and low blood pressure, so consult a healthcare professional if symptoms occur. Dizziness or fatigue may occur while driving or operating machinery, so caution is warranted. This medication may interact with some drugs, so inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking other medications. It is safer for women who are pregnant or planning to become pregnant not to use this medication, and breastfeeding women should also avoid it. The safety and efficacy of this medication have not been established in children under 18 years of age, so it is not recommended for use in this population. In case of overdose, severe low blood pressure or cardiovascular abnormalities may occur, so strict adherence to the prescribed dosage is essential, and immediately visit a medical institution upon occurrence of unusual symptoms.

Urticaria, severe swelling (edema), chest tightness, difficulty breathing, cold sweat, paleness, severe rash with high fever, blisters, peeling of the skin, pain in oral/eye mucosa, difficulty breathing or shortness of breath, asthma attack, respiratory anomalies accompanying cough and fever, yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice), extreme fatigue throughout the body, sudden and severe headache, thunderclap headache, seizures, confusion, vision abnormalities, paralysis.
