This medication is used for patients with essential hypertension whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with monotherapy of amlodipine or valsartan.

How to take

Adult dose

The recommended dosage is one tablet once daily, taken with water regardless of meals. It is recommended to take it at the same time each day (e.g., in the morning).

Child dose

Safety and efficacy for patients under 18 years of age have not been established, so the use of this medication is not recommended.

Precautions

This medication can cause serious harm or death to the fetus and newborn if taken during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy, so it should be discontinued immediately upon confirmation of pregnancy. Do not take this medication if you are allergic to its active ingredients or similar components, are pregnant or breastfeeding, have severe kidney or liver disorders, or have certain heart conditions. Patients with sodium or fluid depletion may experience hypotension; therefore, their condition should be corrected and carefully monitored before use. Patients with elevated potassium levels or those taking medications that may increase potassium levels should have their potassium levels checked regularly. Patients with renal artery stenosis or those who have recently undergone kidney transplantation should use this medication with caution due to the risk of worsening kidney function. If symptoms of angioedema occur, discontinue the medication immediately and do not re-administer it. Patients with heart failure or who have had a myocardial infarction should closely monitor changes in kidney function, and those taking high-dose diuretics are at risk of hypotension. This medication may cause dizziness or fatigue during driving or operating machinery, so caution is advised. This medication may interact with other antihypertensive agents, potassium supplements, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), etc., so consult your doctor before taking them together. Women who are pregnant or planning to become pregnant should not use this medication, and breastfeeding women are also advised against it. Safety and efficacy for children have not been established, so it is recommended that it not be used in patients under 18 years of age. Overdose may cause symptoms such as hypotension, dizziness, and increased heart rate, requiring immediate medical attention. It is important to consult medical personnel immediately if any unusual symptoms or side effects arise while taking this medication.
