Improvement of blood pressure control in essential hypertension with the combination of amlodipine and valsartan.
Used for patients with essential hypertension whose blood pressure control is insufficient with monotherapy of amlodipine and valsartan. This medication effectively lowers blood pressure with the combination of two components, helping to prevent complications from hypertension.
The recommended dosage of this medication is one tablet once daily, taken with water regardless of meals. It is advised to take it at the same time daily (e.g., morning) if possible. Dose adjustments can be considered for individual components (amlodipine or valsartan) when blood pressure is not adequately controlled. The administration of dosages can be made in 5/80 mg, 5/160 mg, or 10/160 mg forms depending on the case. Patients with kidney impairment: For those with mild to moderate kidney impairment (creatinine clearance above 10 mL/min), no dose adjustment is necessary, but severe kidney impairment (creatinine clearance below 10 mL/min) and dialysis patients should not take this medication. Moderate kidney impairment patients are recommended to monitor potassium and creatinine levels.
Safety and efficacy in patients under 18 years of age have not been established, so administration of this medication is not recommended.

Patients with renal artery stenosis should be cautious, as kidney function may deteriorate during treatment with this medication. Recently transplanted kidney patients should not take this medication as its safety has not been confirmed. If symptoms of angioedema occur during treatment with this medication, it should be discontinued immediately and not readministered. This medication is not recommended to be used in combination with other renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system drugs, as the risk of hypotension, hyperkalemia, and kidney function deterioration significantly increases.
