Precautions

This medication may cause serious harm to the fetus and newborn if taken during the second and third trimester of pregnancy, so it should be stopped immediately upon confirmation of pregnancy. It should not be used by individuals allergic to the active ingredients or similar class of medicines, by pregnant or lactating women, or by patients with severe renal or liver dysfunction. Patients with body sodium or hydration deficit may experience low blood pressure, so their condition should be checked thoroughly before taking the medication, and they should be monitored carefully at the start of treatment. Patients with high potassium levels or those taking potassium-sparing medications should have their potassium concentration checked frequently, and caution is needed for patients with impaired renal function. For patients with renal vascular problems or those who have recently received a kidney transplant, renal function should be closely monitored when administering this medication. This medication can cause serious side effects such as angioedema. If swelling of the face or neck or difficulty breathing occurs, medication should be stopped immediately. Patients with heart failure or post-myocardial infarction should closely monitor renal function and blood pressure changes while taking this medication, as pulmonary edema may occur in some heart failure patients. The risk of hypotension, renal dysfunction, and hyperkalemia may increase when this medication is taken with other antihypertensive drugs, so it should be taken as directed by the attending physician. Caution is advised as dizziness or fatigue may occur while driving or operating machinery. In case of overdose, severe hypotension or tachycardia may occur, and immediate medical treatment is required. The safety and efficacy of this medication in pediatric patients under 18 years of age have not been sufficiently established, therefore its use is not recommended. For the elderly, similar doses to those for adults are used, but caution is advised considering their physical condition. Women who are pregnant or planning to become pregnant or those who are breastfeeding are advised not to use this medication, and if planning pregnancy, consultation with a doctor is necessary.
