Adult dose

Patients with essential hypertension can use this medication for more effective blood pressure management when blood pressure is not adequately controlled with amlodipine or valsartan monotherapy. This helps to achieve stable blood pressure control and reduce the risk of cardiovascular complications. This drug is used for the treatment of essential hypertension.

How to take

Adult dose

The recommended dosage for this medication is 1 tablet once daily, to be taken with water regardless of meals. It is recommended to take it at the same time each day (e.g., in the morning). It is administered depending on whether blood pressure is not controlled with doses of 5/80 mg, 5/160 mg, or 10/160 mg. Patients with renal impairment do not need dosage adjustments for mild to moderate cases; however, it should not be administered in patients with severe renal impairment or those undergoing dialysis.

Precautions

This medication can cause serious harm or death to the fetus and newborn if used during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy, so it should be discontinued immediately upon confirmation of pregnancy. In case of overdose, severe hypotension or reflex tachycardia may occur, so it is essential to adhere to the prescribed dosage and seek immediate medical attention if symptoms arise. This drug is not recommended for children under 18 years of age, as its safety and efficacy in this population have not been established.
