Improvement of epithelial disorders of the conjunctiva (endogenous and exogenous)
This medication is used for epithelial disorders of the conjunctiva caused by both endogenous diseases, such as Sjögren's syndrome, Stevens-Johnson syndrome, and dry eye syndrome, as well as exogenous causes due to postoperative conditions, drug side effects, trauma, and contact lens wear.
Instill 1 drop of 0.1%, 0.3% preparations 5 to 6 times a day. Adjust according to symptoms. Generally, 0.1% preparation is administered, and if the effect is insufficient in severe cases, 0.3% preparation should be used.
This medication should not be used by patients who are allergic to protein-based drugs or any of the ingredients in this medication. Using this medication may cause symptoms such as eyelid itching, eye irritation, conjunctivitis, redness, corneal disorders, and a foreign body sensation. Occasionally, discharge or eye pain may occur, and if these symptoms appear, use should be discontinued immediately and appropriate treatment should be sought. In addition, hypersensitivity reactions such as eyelid inflammation or dermatitis may occur, so use should be discontinued if these symptoms develop. Caution should be exercised when this medication is used alongside steroid drugs, treatments for dry eyes, antimicrobials, glaucoma treatments, antihistamines, cataract treatments, or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory pain relievers, as adverse reactions may occur more frequently. This medication contains phosphates, so in patients with severe corneal damage, rare cases of corneal calcification may occur, thus caution is advised. When using this medication with other eye drops, do not administer them simultaneously; use other eye drops first and then use this medication about 30 minutes later. This eye drops is for use in the eye only, and care should be taken not to touch the tip of the container to the eyelid or eyelashes. If the container is contaminated, the medication may deteriorate, and therefore, cloudy medication should not be used. The preservative benzalkonium chloride can adhere to soft lenses, so contact lens wearers should not use this medication and should wait at least 15 minutes after use before wearing lenses. Furthermore, for infection prevention, it is best not to share this medication among multiple users. This medication should be stored out of reach of children and kept in a cool place away from direct sunlight. To maintain quality, do not transfer this medication to another container.
Not everyone experiences these, and they can vary from person to person.
This medication should be stored in a tightly sealed container to prevent exposure to air or moisture. It is advisable to maintain the storage temperature between 1 degree and 30 degrees Celsius at room temperature. By doing so, the effectiveness of the medication can be safely maintained.
