Precautions

This drug can cause serious harm or death to the fetus and newborn if taken during the second or third trimester of pregnancy, so it should be discontinued immediately upon confirmation of pregnancy. Patients with allergies to this drug's main ingredients or similar classes of drugs, pregnant women, those with severe kidney or liver dysfunction, or certain heart diseases should not take this medication. Patients with low sodium or fluids may experience hypotension, so it is important to check their condition before taking it, and closely monitor blood pressure and condition during treatment. If potassium levels are high or if taking other medications that may increase potassium, potassium levels should be checked frequently to ensure there are no abnormalities. Patients with narrowed renal arteries or those who have had kidney transplants may experience kidney issues while taking this medication, requiring special caution. If symptoms of angioedema, such as swelling of the face, lips, or tongue, occur, the medication should be stopped immediately and should not be taken again. Patients with heart failure or those who have had a myocardial infarction should have their kidney function and heart condition regularly checked while taking this medication. Patients with acute myocardial infarction or those with certain heart valve diseases should use this drug with caution. This medication is not recommended to be taken concurrently with other drugs acting on the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system, as concomitant use may increase the risk of hypotension, worsening kidney function, and hyperkalemia. During treatment, symptoms such as dizziness and fatigue may occur, so care should be taken while driving or operating machinery. This drug may interact with other medications, so any concurrent medications should be discussed with a healthcare professional. Breastfeeding women are advised to avoid taking this medication, and its use in children is not recommended due to insufficient evidence for safety and efficacy. In cases of overdose, severe hypotension or reflex tachycardia may occur, so it is important to adhere strictly to the prescribed dosage and seek medical attention immediately if any abnormal symptoms arise.
