Alpimopide Tablet (Mosapride Citrate Hydrate)

Adult dose

Generally, adults are given 15㎎ per day as anhydrous mosapride citrate, orally in 3 divided doses before or after meals.

This medication may cause side effects such as diarrhea, dry mouth, and fatigue during use. It can affect liver function, so if severe liver problems such as hepatitis or jaundice occur, stop taking the medication immediately and consult medical personnel. Be cautious of any unusual symptoms, as allergic reactions such as skin rashes or hives may occur. Regular blood tests may be necessary due to possible changes in white blood cell counts or eosinophilia. Gastrointestinal symptoms such as abdominal bloating, nausea, vomiting, and taste abnormalities may occur. Neurological symptoms like increased heart rate, dizziness, headaches, tremors, and fatigue have also been reported. If symptoms do not improve after taking the medication for more than two weeks, it is advisable to avoid long-term use. The effectiveness of this medication may decrease when taken with anticholinergics, so use carefully with intervals between doses. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should only use this medication if the benefits outweigh the risks, and breastfeeding should be avoided or breastfeeding should be halted during treatment. Safety for children has not been established and should be used with care as there is no experience. Elderly patients should monitor their renal and hepatic functions closely and adjust the dose as necessary. Diarrhea
