Relief of inflammatory diseases of the outer and anterior segments of the eye (such as blepharitis, conjunctivitis, etc.)
This medication is used for various inflammatory diseases occurring in the outer and anterior segments of the eye, including blepharitis, conjunctivitis, keratitis, scleritis, episcleritis, iritis, cyclitis, and uveitis. It is also effective against inflammation that may occur after surgery. These inflammatory conditions can cause pain and discomfort in the eyes, and this drug helps alleviate these symptoms and reduce inflammation. It is therefore used to maintain eye health and facilitate quick recovery.
1 to 2 drops once, 2 to 4 times a day. Adjust dosage as appropriate according to symptoms.
This medication should not be used in patients with viral conjunctivitis, fungal eye diseases, mycobacterial infections, or chronic blepharitis. Also, patients who have had allergic reactions to this medication should avoid its administration. Caution is advised when using it in patients with corneal epithelial damage or corneal ulcers, those with tuberculous or purulent eye diseases, glaucoma patients, and children under 2 years of age. It should generally not be used in these cases but may be used with extreme caution when necessary. Long-term use of this medication can raise intraocular pressure and damage the optic nerve, so regular eye pressure checks are necessary. Eye infections such as herpes keratitis, fungal infections, or bacterial infections can occur, and if such symptoms arise, appropriate treatment should be sought immediately. Caution should be exercised as the use of this drug in patients with corneal damage or ulcers can increase the risk of corneal perforation. Long-term use may lead to cataracts, and immune function may be suppressed, increasing the risk of secondary infections. In the event of acute purulent endophthalmitis, this medication may mask or worsen infection symptoms, so care is required. If eye inflammation or pain persists or worsens for more than 48 hours, discontinue use and consult a physician. This medication contains phosphate, which can rarely lead to corneal calcification in patients with severe corneal damage. Patients who have not had chickenpox or measles or have not been vaccinated are at greater risk of infection while using this medication, so special attention should be paid to infection prevention and observation. Using this medication arbitrarily on reddened eyes can lead to vision loss, so a doctor's diagnosis is essential. Patients with a history of herpes simplex should have regular eye examinations while using this medication. When using this medication for more than 10 days, regular intraocular pressure checks should be performed, especially in children or patients who may have difficulty cooperating. This medication is an eye drop and should only be used for that purpose; care must be taken to avoid direct contact of the bottle opening with the eye. Shake the medication well before use, and it is preferable to use it personally to prevent contamination. When storing, keep out of children's reach, avoid direct sunlight, and store in a cool place. Additionally, to maintain quality, it is important not to transfer the medication to another container.
