How to take

Adult dose

Take 1 g of Almagate 3 times a day after meals, 30 minutes to 1 hour later, and it can be chewed orally. If necessary, an additional dose can be taken before bedtime.

Child dose

For children 12 years and older, take 1 g of Almagate 3 times a day after meals, 30 minutes to 1 hour later, and it can be chewed orally. If necessary, an additional dose can be taken before bedtime.

Precautions

This medication should not be taken by individuals allergic to this medication or its ingredients. Patients with Alzheimer's disease or hemorrhoids are advised not to take this medication. Patients with body swelling, preeclampsia, or diarrhea should avoid this medication. Patients suspected of having gastrointestinal bleeding should not take this medication. Do not take this medication concurrently with tetracycline antibiotics, as it may interfere with the absorption of the antibiotic. Individuals taking other medications should consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication, as it may affect the absorption or excretion of other medications. Particularly when taken with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, ulcer treatments, digitalis preparations, and iron supplements, a gap of 2 to 3 hours should be maintained. Patients with impaired kidney function should be cautious as magnesium or aluminum contained in this medication may accumulate in the body. Individuals who are weak, have insufficient phosphorus intake, or have poor absorption of nutrients should be cautious, as this medication may interfere with phosphorus absorption, potentially affecting bone health with long-term use. Elderly patients, patients with gastrointestinal bleeding symptoms, pregnant women or those who might be pregnant, and nursing mothers should also consult a healthcare professional before taking this medication. If constipation or diarrhea occurs while taking this medication, or if symptoms do not improve within 2 weeks, discontinue use immediately and consult with a medical professional. Always adhere to the prescribed dosage and administration guidelines, and ensure that children take it under adult supervision. This medication should be stored out of reach of children, in its original container, away from direct sunlight, in a cool and dry place.
