Vitamin D is essential during pregnancy and lactation, for growing children, and for elderly individuals. This vitamin particularly helps in the healthy development of bones and teeth, and is effective in preventing rickets that can occur in children. Precautions
This medication should not be taken by patients with hypercalcemia (excess calcium in the blood), sarcoidosis (a systemic inflammatory disease of unknown cause), or those with kidney (renal) diseases. Additionally, individuals who have had allergic reactions to this medication or its components should not take it. Infants under 3 months old and patients with kidney stones should also refrain from using this medication. This product contains lactose, so patients who have a genetic disorder that impairs lactose digestion should avoid it. Before taking this medication, infants under 1 year old, patients undergoing medical treatment, children who are getting ample sunlight and eating normally, pregnant or potentially pregnant women, lactating women, premature infants, and individuals with a history of kidney stones must consult a physician or pharmacist. If symptoms like nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea occur during the use of this medication, it should be stopped immediately and a doctor or pharmacist consulted. If an overdose occurs accidentally or if symptoms do not improve despite regular use for about a month, the medication should be stopped and a healthcare professional consulted. It is essential to adhere strictly to the prescribed dosage and administration, and when giving it to children, caregivers should supervise and instruct them properly.
