Improvement of Alzheimer's-type dementia symptoms
This medication is used to treat symptoms of Alzheimer's-type dementia. It improves various symptoms caused by dementia, such as memory loss and cognitive decline, thereby assisting patients in enhancing their quality of life. Continuous use helps protect cognitive function and maintain the ability to perform daily activities.
For Donepezil Hydrochloride, administer 5 mg once daily at bedtime. Administer 5 mg for 4 to 6 weeks and, after evaluating clinical responses, it can be increased to 10 mg. Caution should be taken for gastrointestinal adverse reactions when increasing to 10 mg per day. Underweight women aged 85 years and older should not exceed 5 mg per day and should be closely monitored.
There is no experience in using this medication in children.
