Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients with skin infections caused by bacteria, fungi, viruses, or animals. It should also not be used if there is an allergy or hypersensitivity to this medication or its ingredients. Caution is required in patients with eczematous otitis externa with a perforated eardrum, as healing may be delayed. It is advisable to avoid using it on ulcers, severe burn, or frostbite areas where skin regeneration may be inhibited and healing may be delayed. Use should be avoided in patients with perioral dermatitis, common acne, rosacea, and non-inflammatory pruritus. Pregnant women or those who may become pregnant, as well as nursing mothers, should use this medication cautiously; especially, children under 2 years old should use it after consulting a doctor. Elderly patients also require caution due to the increased risk of side effects. This medication may worsen skin infections and various skin adverse reactions such as itching, rash, erythema, and skin dryness may occur. Long-term use may lead to side effects like skin thinning or vascular dilation, so it is recommended to gradually reduce the dosage and switch to another medication. If this medication is used extensively or via occlusive dressing for a long time, the hormonal balance in the body may be disrupted, leading to adrenal function suppression, thus regular check-ups are necessary. If symptoms do not improve or worsen during use, it should be stopped immediately and the treatment duration should preferably be limited to within 7 days. Pregnant and nursing women should consider the effects on the fetus or infant and use it for the minimum necessary duration and dosage, and should not apply it to the breast area while nursing. Children should avoid long-term continuous use, as their skin is more sensitive and absorbs better than adults, especially in environments that create occlusive conditions like diapers. Elderly patients require careful observation when using large amounts or for long periods due to a higher likelihood of side effects. In cases of overdose, systemic side effects may occur, so appropriate management should be done under the guidance of a doctor. Avoid using it around the eyes, and do not use after make-up or shaving; occlusive dressings should only be used under doctor supervision. Keep out of reach of children to prevent safety accidents. Caution should be taken when psoriasis patients use this medication in large amounts for extended periods, as it may worsen their skin condition.
