Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients with viral keratitis, fungal eye diseases, mycobacterial infections, or chronic eyelid inflammation. Patients who have had allergic reactions to this medication should also avoid it. It is generally not used in patients with corneal wounds or ulcers, patients with tuberculosis or purulent eye diseases, glaucoma patients, and children under 2 years old; however, if absolutely necessary, it should be used very cautiously. Long-term use may increase the risk of elevated ocular pressure, optic nerve damage, or decreased vision, so regular eye pressure checks should be performed. This medication may exacerbate eye infections or cause new infections, so proper treatment should be sought immediately if infection symptoms occur. Long-term use may increase the risk of cataracts or secondary infections due to weakened immune function. If inflammation or pain persists or worsens for more than 48 hours, use should be discontinued and medical consultation should be sought. When using contact lenses, they should be removed before instillation and can be reinserted at least 30 minutes afterward. Vision may temporarily blur after instillation, so driving or operating hazardous machinery is not advisable. Infections with chickenpox or measles during the use of this medication can cause serious problems, so vaccination history and past infection status should be checked, and if infection is possible, immediate consultation with healthcare professionals is recommended. When used in conjunction with certain medications, the risk of systemic side effects may increase, so careful monitoring is required during co-administration. Pregnant women or those who may become pregnant should avoid long-term use; nursing mothers should not use it or should discontinue breastfeeding if it is absolutely necessary to use. Special precautions are necessary for children and the elderly, and this medication should only be used as eye drops, ensuring the container tip does not come into direct contact with the eyes. Before use, it should be shaken well, and to prevent contamination, it is advisable not to share it with others. During storage, it should be kept in a cool place out of reach of children and away from direct sunlight, and it should not be transferred to another container.
