Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients with viral keratitis, fungal eye disease, or mycobacterial infections. It should not be administered to individuals with chronic blepharitis or hypersensitivity to this medication. Patients with corneal epithelial damage or corneal ulcer, those with tuberculosis or purulent eye disease, patients with glaucoma, and children under 2 years of age should use this medication cautiously. Long-term use of this medication may lead to increased intraocular pressure, glaucoma, or optic nerve damage, so regular eye pressure checks are necessary. There is also a risk of worsening corneal infections or ulcers. Prolonged use may increase the risk of posterior subcapsular cataracts or secondary eye infections, and acute eye inflammation symptoms may be masked or worsen. If ocular inflammation or pain persists or worsens for more than 48 hours during use, stop using the medication immediately and consult a physician. Contact lens wearers should remove lenses before using this medication and can reinsert them after 30 minutes. There may be temporary blurred vision upon instillation, so avoid driving or operating dangerous machinery until vision clears. During the use of this medication, infection by varicella or measles may result in serious complications, so vaccination status should be checked and infection risk minimized. Caution is advised for children, especially those using this medication along with CYP3A4 inhibitors, as systemic side effects may occur. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should avoid long-term use of this medication, and nursing mothers should avoid administration or stop breastfeeding. This product is for ophthalmic use only; the tip of the container should not come into direct contact with the eye. Shake well before use, and avoid sharing to prevent contamination. For single-use products, use immediately after opening and discard any remaining medication. It is advisable to discard the first 1-2 drops when opening to remove container fragments.
