This medication is used to treat myocardial ischemia caused by stable angina and variant angina, conditions where hypertension and narrowing or constriction of the coronary arteries impair blood supply to the heart muscle. Additionally, in patients recently diagnosed with coronary heart disease through angiography who do not have heart failure and have normal cardiac output, it helps reduce the risk of hospitalization due to angina and the risks associated with coronary artery revascularization. This medication is effective in improving heart health and alleviating symptoms of angina.
