Precautions

This drug should not be used in certain patients. It should not be administered to individuals who are allergic to this medication or patients with myasthenia gravis who have severe muscle weakness. Additionally, since this drug contains lactose monohydrate, patients with genetic issues such as galactose intolerance, lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption should refrain from using it. Patients with a history of drug hypersensitivity or those with impaired liver function should take special care when using this medication. Caution is advised as liver function may further deteriorate, and it should be used carefully under the guidance of a physician. This medication may rarely cause severe allergic reactions such as shock, so if any unusual symptoms occur during use, the drug should be discontinued immediately and medical consultation sought. Because it can affect liver or kidney function, administration may be halted if liver enzyme levels or kidney function tests show abnormal results. Hypersensitivity reactions such as anemia, rash, and itching may occur, and sometimes insomnia, drowsiness, headache, numbness in extremities, muscle rigidity, or tremors may appear. Gastrointestinal side effects may include nausea, vomiting, reduced appetite, abdominal pain, and diarrhea, while urination difficulties may occur in the urinary system. Symptoms such as lethargy, dizziness, and general malaise may appear, and if symptoms are severe, patients should inform their doctor. Additionally, facial flushing, sweating, or swelling may occur. Rarely, anaphylaxis or angioedema, and serious skin reactions such as Stevens-Johnson syndrome may occur, therefore, if symptoms such as fever, rash, blisters, itching, conjunctival injection, or oral inflammation appear, the medication should be discontinued immediately and medical attention sought. If drowsiness, unsteadiness, or lethargy occurs during use, the dosage may be reduced or the medication discontinued. This medication can cause drowsiness or decreased concentration, so driving or operating dangerous machinery should be avoided. Taking this medication with similar drugs or certain muscle relaxants may cause visual disturbances, so it is essential to consult a doctor or pharmacist when combining with other medications. Pregnant women or those who could become pregnant should only use this medication when the benefits of treatment outweigh the risks, as its safety has not been established, and nursing mothers should ideally avoid its use or discontinue breastfeeding if it must be used. Caution is required for use in children as its safety has not been fully confirmed. Elderly patients may have decreased physiological function and should use the drug with special consideration, including dosage reduction.
