Improvement in blood pressure control in essential hypertension
Essential hypertension is a condition where blood pressure remains persistently elevated, placing stress on the heart and blood vessels. Telmisartan and Amlodipine (Amlodipine) are medications that lower blood pressure, with each acting to either relax blood vessels or reduce vascular resistance to control blood pressure. When these medications are used alone yet blood pressure is not adequately controlled, combination therapy may be required for more effective treatment. Thus, the treatment applicable to patients with essential hypertension involves the combined use of Telmisartan and Amlodipine to achieve appropriate blood pressure management. This treatment helps to steadily lower blood pressure and reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases. Therefore, it is used in the control of blood pressure for patients with essential hypertension.

For patients with renal impairment, mild to moderate renal impairment does not require dose adjustment, but for those with severe renal impairment, treatment should start at a lower dose and be gradually increased. For patients with liver impairment, the daily dose should not exceed 40 mg.
