This medication is used to effectively lower and manage blood pressure in patients with essential hypertension where blood pressure is difficult to control with monotherapy of Telmisartan or Esanmolodipine.

How to take

Adult dose

The recommended dosage for adults is 1 tablet once a day, to be taken with water regardless of meals. It is recommended to take it at the same time every day (e.g., in the morning). For patients with mild to moderate renal impairment, dose adjustments are not necessary; however, for patients with severe renal impairment, treatment should be initiated at a lower dose, gradually increasing it. For patients with mild to moderate liver impairment, the daily dosage of Telmisartan should not exceed 40 mg.

Child dose

The safety and efficacy in pediatric patients under 18 years of age have not been established, and the use of this medication is not recommended.

Precautions

This medication can cause serious harm to the fetus if taken during pregnancy, particularly during the second and third trimesters, so it should not be taken by women who are pregnant or may become pregnant. Additionally, patients with allergies to the ingredients of this medication or those with specific heart diseases, liver dysfunction, hypotension, or renal failure should avoid taking this medication. Side effects such as dizziness, headache, swelling, and dyspepsia may occasionally occur, so if any abnormal symptoms occur, consult a doctor. Since this medication lowers blood pressure, there is a risk of hypotension, and caution is needed particularly in patients with insufficient body fluids or salts. Interactions may occur if taken with other blood pressure medications or specific drugs, so if you are taking other medications, be sure to inform your healthcare provider. Dizziness or drowsiness may occur when driving or operating machinery, so caution is advised. Elderly patients or those with heart disease should take this medication with extra caution, and dose adjustments may be necessary. In cases of overdose, severe hypotension, dizziness, and heart problems may occur, so the dosage must be strictly adhered to, and any abnormal symptoms should be reported to medical personnel immediately.
