This medication is used for the relief of pain associated with joint disorders such as rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, osteoarthritis (degenerative joint disease), and periarticular inflammation. It is also effective for pain management including toothaches, inflammation following trauma, low back pain, and sciatica. It helps broadly improve pain caused by non-articular rheumatism.

How to take

Adult dose

Aceclofenac 100 mg is taken twice daily, every 12 hours. Do not chew or crush this medication; take it whole. Adjust as appropriate according to symptoms. To minimize cardiovascular adverse reactions, the lowest effective dose should be administered for the shortest duration necessary.

Precautions

This medicine may cause gastrointestinal bleeding in individuals who regularly consume more than three glasses of alcoholic beverages daily; therefore, it is essential to consult a physician or pharmacist. This medication can increase the risk of cardiovascular diseases, so individuals with heart diseases, high blood pressure, or diabetes should use it cautiously, and take the minimum effective dose for the shortest duration possible. It may cause severe gastrointestinal issues, including gastrointestinal bleeding, ulcers, or perforation, so those with a history of gastrointestinal diseases or elderly individuals should be especially cautious. Individuals with active peptic ulcers or bleeding, those allergic to this drug or similar medications, and those sensitive to asthma or aspirin should not take this medication. Those with impaired kidney or liver function, heart failure, or blood coagulation disorders should use this medication cautiously, and women in late stages of pregnancy or breastfeeding should avoid using it. CNS side effects such as dizziness or drowsiness may occur, so driving or operating hazardous machinery should be avoided. This medication may affect liver and kidney functions, necessitating regular examinations, and if a skin rash or severe allergic reaction occurs, treatment should be stopped immediately and a doctor consulted. Due to many drug interactions, especially with anticoagulants, diuretics, antihypertensives, and antidiabetic medications, it is crucial to consult a physician if you are taking these medications.
