This medication helps stabilize symptoms by inhibiting thrombus formation in diseases such as myocardial infarction, cerebral infarction, and unstable angina. It also prevents thrombus formation in patients who have undergone coronary artery bypass surgery or percutaneous coronary intervention. It is used to reduce cardiovascular risk in high-risk patients with risk factors such as hypertension, hypercholesterolemia, obesity, and diabetes. Thus, it effectively manages thrombus issues related to cardiovascular disease, positively impacting health.

How to take

Adult dose

(Enteric-coated tablet) Adults: 1 tablet once daily, taken before meals with adequate water. (Enteric-coated capsule) Adults: 1 capsule once daily, taken before meals with adequate water.

Precautions

This medication should be discussed with a doctor or pharmacist if the patient regularly consumes more than three alcoholic beverages a day as it increases the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding. This medication should not be used in certain patients, such as those who have had allergic reactions to this drug or other salicylates, patients with peptic ulcer, those who have experienced asthma attacks, patients with bleeding tendencies or hemophilia, patients with severe liver or kidney dysfunction, patients with significantly impaired heart function, and pregnant women in their third trimester. Caution should also be taken when administering this medication to patients with impaired kidney or liver function, cardiovascular circulation issues, a history of blood disorders, individuals with bronchial asthma, children under 3 years old, individuals with a history of allergic diseases, the elderly, and patients on anticoagulants. This medication can rarely cause serious allergic reactions, skin disorders, blood abnormalities, gastrointestinal bleeding, liver dysfunction, and kidney dysfunction. If abnormal symptoms occur, it should be discontinued immediately, and medical advice should be sought. In children under 14 years old or patients with chickenpox or influenza, there is a risk of serious side effects known as Reye's syndrome; therefore, it should be used cautiously only when necessary, and the patient's condition should be closely monitored after use. Long-term use requires regular monitoring of liver function, blood counts, etc., and appropriate doses should be used based on the severity of acute conditions. This medication can interact with other drugs, particularly anticoagulants, hypoglycemic agents, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs such as ibuprofen, lithium, methotrexate, and should be discussed with a healthcare professional.
