Precautions

Patients who regularly consume three or more alcoholic beverages daily must consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. Individuals who consume alcohol frequently may have a higher risk of gastrointestinal bleeding when taking this medication. This medication should not be used in certain patients. For example, individuals allergic to this medication or other salicylates, patients with peptic ulcers, aspirin-induced asthma patients, hemophiliacs, patients with severe hepatic or renal impairment, patients with severely reduced cardiac function, patients with bleeding tendencies, patients taking high doses of methotrexate, and pregnant women in the third trimester should avoid using this medication. Additionally, patients with renal or cardiovascular abnormalities, hepatic impairment, blood disorders, bronchial asthma, pre-surgical patients, children under three years of age, those with hypersensitivity to analgesics or anti-inflammatory drugs, the elderly, patients using anticoagulants, and those with glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency must be cautious when using this medication. Special care is needed as this medication can cause hemolytic anemia. Because this medication can cause serious side effects, symptoms should be closely monitored. If symptoms such as shock or anaphylactic reaction, skin rash, hives, or respiratory distress occur, use should be immediately discontinued, and medical attention should be sought. Gastrointestinal disturbances, gastrointestinal bleeding, renal dysfunction, hepatic dysfunction, and neurological symptoms may also occur, and close observation is necessary. In children, using this medication during viral infections such as chickenpox or influenza can cause a serious condition known as Reye's syndrome, so extreme caution is necessary. This medication helps relieve symptoms but does not treat the underlying cause, so suitable treatments should be conducted concurrently under medical guidance for chronic or acute conditions. Throughout the treatment, the patient's condition should be monitored closely, and if abnormal reactions occur, medical personnel should be consulted immediately. Extreme caution is essential for children with high fever, the elderly, and patients with weakened health. This medication may interact with other drugs, especially anticoagulants, antidiabetic agents, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory analgesics such as ibuprofen, lithium preparations, and digoxin; therefore, consultation with a doctor or pharmacist is crucial when administered together. Extreme caution is advised during pregnancy, and it should not be taken during the third trimester. Moreover, since this medication can be transmitted through breast milk, breastfeeding women should avoid using it. Elderly patients are at a higher risk of side effects, therefore, treatment should start with a low dose while monitoring their condition carefully. Finally, since this drug is in an enteric-coated form, care should be taken not to damage the coating and it is advisable not to take it with specific alkalizers. Store the medication in a location out of reach of children and keep it in its original container to ensure safety and quality.
