Precautions

This medication should not be used by patients who have had an allergic reaction to this medication or similar medications. Patients who have experienced symptoms such as asthma attacks, hives, or acute rhinitis while taking aspirin or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs should also not use this medication. Patients with bronchial asthma should use this medication with caution, as asthma attacks may occur upon use. This medication contains an ingredient called propylene glycol; those allergic to or who have had hypersensitivity reactions to this ingredient should use it carefully. It also contains sodium pyrosulfite, which can cause severe allergic reactions or asthma attacks, so patients with asthma should be particularly cautious. During use, side effects such as skin itching, redness, rash, eczema, contact dermatitis, irritation, and blisters may appear. If these symptoms become severe, the use should be stopped immediately and a healthcare professional should be consulted. This medication is a symptomatic treatment for relieving inflammation or pain and is not a treatment for the underlying cause. When used on areas with skin infections, symptoms of infection may be masked; therefore, it should be used in conjunction with antibiotics or antifungals for inflammatory infections, and the patient's condition should be well monitored. When used for chronic diseases such as degenerative arthritis, it is advisable to combine other treatment methods with medication therapy and carefully monitor for side effects. In the later stages of pregnancy, use of this medication may cause obstetric complications or delays in labor; therefore, it is safe for pregnant women, women who may become pregnant, or breastfeeding women not to take this medication.
