Precautions

This medication contains a lactose hydrate, thus it should not be used by patients with galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption. During treatment with this medication, side effects such as diarrhea, loose stools, dry mouth, and lethargy may occur. In rare cases, serious adverse reactions such as liver dysfunction or jaundice may arise; if such symptoms occur, treatment should be stopped immediately and a doctor consulted. Additionally, allergic reactions such as rash, hives, and edema may occur, along with gastrointestinal symptoms like abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, and taste disturbances. Occasionally, neurological and cardiovascular side effects such as dizziness, headache, and palpitations have also been reported. If symptoms do not improve after taking this medication for more than two weeks, it is advisable to avoid long-term use. Co-administering with anticholinergic drugs may reduce the effectiveness of this medication, so care should be taken regarding the dosing intervals when using both medications together. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should exercise caution when taking this medication, and breastfeeding mothers should avoid use if possible or discontinue breastfeeding. Safety in children has not been sufficiently established, so it is preferable not to use in pediatric patients. Elderly patients may have reduced kidney and liver function, so dosage should be adjusted while closely monitoring their condition, and appropriate measures should be taken if adverse reactions occur. This medication should be stored out of reach of children and should not be transferred to another container.
